SEO FAQ

What are SEO rules?

There aren't formal "rules" in the legal sense. SEO is governed by search engine guidelines, primarily Google's, and by the practical reality of how their algorithms work. The core principles haven't changed in years: make your site technically accessible to search engines, create content that directly answers what people search for, build trust through reviews and mentions on other credible sites, and keep your business information consistent everywhere it appears. What has changed is what happens when you break these principles. Google's algorithms have gotten dramatically better at detecting manipulation, including keyword stuffing, paid link schemes, duplicate content, and cloaking. Tactics that worked in 2015 now trigger penalties. The most important "rule" in 2026 is this: build something genuinely useful for the person searching, and structure it so machines can understand what it is. If you're doing that, you're following every rule that matters.
